2026 ICMA Finalist
Aksonance has been named an Official Finalist at the 2026 InterContinental Music Awards. The Breath of Silence — the title track of the album dedicated to MARILYN100 — was selected in the Artist Directed AI Generative category, one of ICMA's dedicated categories for AI music creation.
The recognition speaks directly to what Aksonance has been transparent about from the start: work born from artificial intelligence and directed by human judgment, with music and arrangements AI-generated and lyrics written as a human and AI collaboration.1
The Breath of Silence is the musical companion to MARILYN100, the centennial reimagining of Marilyn Monroe through one hundred cyberpaintings by Micheline Grisolame. It is out now as a digital release, on vinyl and CD, and as an art book.
ICMA winners are announced on 23 August 2026 — a natural second beat to the story to follow through the summer. Finalist graphic, album artwork, high-res images, streaming links and an interview with the project's curator Riccardo Crosa are available on request.

Aksonance
Aksonance is a London-based band, creator of Aeronoir, a genre of cinematic pop and rock it coined and defines. The music favors ordinary rooms over grand gestures, the note that lingers over the note that strikes.
Every Aksonance release begins with artificial intelligence and ends with human judgment. The music, voices, and arrangements are generated; the words, the direction, and every decision that matters are not. The result is a catalog that runs from the first single in 2023 to The Breath of Silence, the concept album at the heart of the MARILYN100 project.
Aksonance operates within Montecristo International and Hanse Media London.
